Senior Contracts Administrator
Location: Ladson/Summerville, SC

Position Responsibilities
Administers award for contracts from customer organizations, and may support sub-contract administration activities. Assists in the creation and implementation of systems and processes associated with the management of contracts in accordance with sound business practices and Government requirements for defense contracting. Reviews contract proposals for pricing and estimating accuracy as well as develop and negotiate contract proposals and claims with customers.
The selected candidate will bring a results-driven attitude with a track record for successful outcomes and possess the experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Will be responsible for day-to-day operations of one or more programs and have the ability to perform a variety of complex tasks. The position will report to the Director of Contracts.
Position Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a Business related field, a MBA is desired. Must have minimum of 5 years experience managing contracts in a defense related environment. In lieu of degree a minimum of 7 years of in depth experience in a related field will be considered. U.S. Department of Education accredited high school diploma or equivalent required. A strong focus and discipline on process execution and process improvement is a must. Must be an experienced negotiator of US Government contracts and be conversant in understanding and applying the requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and its Defense supplements. Must be willing to apply for a security clearance.
Also requires experience working with governmental agencies. Require the ability to work with diverse groups including all levels of staff and management. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate objectives and develop strategies. Highly developed interpersonal skills are essential.
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the military vehicle field a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Must be able to work weekends, overtime, holidays, and any shift if required. Position may require travel periodically.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Supports the Force Protection Industries overall aim and Systems aim.
