Formed in 1997, Force Protection has become the nation's leading center for blast technology and counter improvised explosive device (IED) research. We design, manufacture, test, deliver, and support blast- and mine-protected vehicles around the world.

Our 260-acre campus is on highway 78 in Ladson, South Carolina, just ten miles west of the Charleston Air Base. Force Protection’s dramatic growth has made is necessary to increase our 87,000 sq. ft. plant to 400,000 sq. ft. of administrative, manufacturing, research and development, test and integration while increasing our workforce to more than 1,000.
