In a recent CBS News / 60 Minutes piece called "The Deadliest Weapon," reporter Byron Pitts traveled to Afghanistan and spent two days with a bomb-hunting unit. During the trip, Pitts and troops traveled in one of Force Protection, Inc.'s armored vehicles, the Buffalo-A2. We at Force Protection believe that the 60 Minutes segment does an excellent job highlighting the vehicles' exceptional route clearance abilities, 30 foot robotic claw used to unearth IEDs (improvised explosive devices) and its sheer size, nearly 54,000 lbs., that makes travelling across rough terrains of the battlefield possible. The Buffalo-A2 has proven to effectively protect troops, while bringing them home safely.
