IN THE NEWSForce Protection, Inc. Continues to Meet DemandPublisher: Force Protection, Inc.Date: 08/10/2006 Ladson, SC – Force Protection, Inc. (OCTBB:FRPT) continues to expand its production efforts to meet an increasing demand for its mine-protected vehicles. The manufacturer produced and delivered 11 Cougar Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal Rapid Response Vehicles (JERRV) and two Buffalo Mine Protected Route Clearance (MPCV) vehicles to the U.S. government in July. “We have worked diligently to expand our facilities and methods to accommodate increasing demand for our vehicles,” said CEO Gordon McGilton. “We’ve made consistent progress in increasing production rates in the past nine months. We again met objectives for the Buffalo MPCV, and although we were one Cougar JERRV short of our expected output for July, we’ve made the necessary adjustments that will enable us to hit our goals in the fall.” Force Protection’s Cougar and Buffalo vehicles have been deployed with explosive ordnance disposal teams and engineers in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003 without a fatality, despite more than 1,000 mine detonations and IED attacks. “Force Protection is committed to the constant improvement of our manufacturing processes,” said Vice President for Marine Corps Programs Wayne Phillips. “This has been reflected in our production performance since November 2005 as we have consistently met or exceeded vehicle delivery objectives. The methods we have now implemented will enable us to continue this upward trend throughout the rest of the year.” #### About Force Protection Force Protection, Inc. manufactures ballistic- and mine-protected vehicles through its wholly owned subsidiary.
