Alex and his Army EOD team were en route to a call recently in Iraq when their Buffalo was targeted out of a convoy of 4 vehicles. The blast hit them dead center and really rang their bells. Immediately after the blast the vehicles rolled out of the kill zone to a safe area and assessed the damage. All on board were uninjured but a bit shaken up. The blast took out one of their tires and shrapnel invaded the external compartments, but none penetrated the main compartment of the craft.

Alex told me that they continued on with their primary mission, completed it and returned to base for medical evaluations. The only injuries were concussions on a couple of team members.

This was the second time in 3 months my brother was hit by an IED, the first being much smaller, possibly anti-personnel. Not a scratch on that one.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your achievements in helping us defeat this terrorist threat, and for keeping my brother alive.
